Urban Paradise
Inside Out Magazine recently featured one of Adam Robinson Design’s newly refreshed front garden and courtyards. Our client was keen to improve their outdoor lifestyle and the dwelling’s kerbside appeal. They also wanted a low-maintenance, hardy yet dynamic planting palette that packed some punch.

There is great textural contrast in the plant selection with bold, sculptural agaves and giant bromeliads that were juxtaposed with the more refined and soft forms of Carex comans ‘Frosted Curls’, lomandra, walking iris (Neomarica gracilis) and cushion bush (Leucophyta browniii). Magical Foxtail fern (Asparagus meyeri) add so much movement and rhythm while different shades of green tonality provide a relaxing backdrop punctuated with burgundy and silver.
Crazy paving and cloud-pruned junipers provide a playful element. What was once simply an accessway to the front door is now a verdant space that invites you to linger longer due to Adam’s selection of planting wonders that surprises and delights everyone who visits.
