Near turquoise poolside water you can afford to be bold and have some fun, so be brave with colour!  This poolside lounge area has been painted with Dulux Weathershield Pink Dust, the architrave is in Snowy Mountains Half and the weatherboard exterior walls are in Tranquil Retreat. The bright pink teamed with the neutral tones create a statement.  Pick up on the accent colour through furnishings and decoration to make maximum impact.

Outdoor Entertaining Area

You can get the party started when entertaining outdoors with a simple splash of colour.  You don’t always  have  to paint the whole wall – a simple geometric shape such as a circle, adds a festive touch!

The backdrop to the entertaining area was a plain, rendered brick wall painted in Dulux Weathershield Vivid White.  The circle is in Mint Twist.  To paint the circle you start by using a pencil and string to create a compass and draw out the size of circle you want as your feature.  Then cut-in on the inside of the circle using a narrow brush and fill in the middle with a larger brush.
