Terracotta is a type of earthenware which is clay-based and can be glazed or unglazed.  Terracotta planters, pots, bowls and urns make beautiful, earthy statement pieces for any balcony, courtyard or garden.  We love them inside and outside the house as the terracotta material adds a lovely organic feel to any space.

They look beautiful planted out, but look just as arresting left alone or grouped together as still life objet d’art.  Slick and modern or antique that have an aged patina, they can be found in pale sand to deep sienna, chocolate and white plus many shades in-between.  There’s a richness and depth of feeling that comes with this natural material and it’s much more versatile than you think.
