Grass Dog Toilets

If you own a dog and you live in an apartment you end up spending a lot of time outdoors, especially when they’re puppies and your toilet-training.

Dogs love going to the loo on natural grass. Nothing looks worse than sheets of newspaper, absorbent puppy pads or fake turf strewn all over your courtyard or balcony.  Not only do they look hideous, they aren’t going to do the job well enough and it all ends up in landfill anyway, leaving a foul stench on your balcony or courtyard as well.  Once you’ve trained your puppy to only go on newspaper or puppy pads, they’ll hold it all in while you’re walking outdoors, and do it all once they get back to what they’re used to!

They say that necessity is the mother of all invention, and with so many of us opting to have our fur babies in apartment living it was only a matter of time before a smart-cookie came up with a better solution to the doggie toilette.

While nature is being integrated into all aspects of interiors these days, here’s another way nature is being incorporated into apartment living – the Potty Plant.  With the Potty plant, dogs can pee and poo on real grass the way nature intended.  It’s not intended to replace the great outdoors, but it’s a great way to train pups make that connection of going on the grass.  And for those times when nature calls in the middle of the night, or when you have to duck out to the shops, leaving the balcony door open with the Potty Plant within reach could be your saviour.

The grass can be changed weekly or fortnightly, depending on the size of your pet.  The Starter Kit is $230.00 and weekly grass subscription is $25.00 per week.
