FEATURE - Armadillo & Co Rug Launch
At the New Adam Robinson Design Studio
Great style came to Waterloo recently with the pairing of Armadillo & Co’s new indoor outdoor rug collection and the new Adam Robinson Design studio space.
With a combined 30 plus years of experience, Jodie and Sally from Armadillo & Co launched their new range of robust indoor outdoor rugs. Well known for creating original, hand woven, fair trade rugs, Adam Robinson Design was delighted to launch the ‘Earth Collection’ in the new Danks Street studio.
The stunning new studio is set to become a hub of interactivity and collaboration for designers in the indoor outdoor landscape and style industries. A mix of industry, professionals, friends and family, the launch was a fantastic success with the introduction of both the studio and the collection. Stylist Megan Morton was also there to show us some great style tips and work her professional magic. A big thank you goes to 3 Seeds International for supplying everyone with Otakiri water for the event.
The girls carefully source polyester fibre to create their rugs, giving the pieces a realistic woolen texture and aesthetic. This collection is just the beginning for the range with more variety to come, including a few colourful options! We love the durable, robust, versatility of the rugs. They’re great for by-the-pool, high traffic areas, as an occasional rug, garden picnics and they’re even pet friendly. Jodie explains, “…just hose them down…” they can handle everything from our fierce rain to the hot sun.
