Teak Bench
A reinterpretation of the iconic Glenwood bench and is the fruit of the collaboration with Anthony Geux, a young designer at ECAL (Lausanne), one of the leading art and design universities in the world. By combining aluminium with teak, he has imparted a thoroughly modern design difference to this traditional bench and reduced its weight considerably.

Assembled by using dowelled mortise-and-tenon joints as traditionally used in roof frames. The detail of the wooden plugs inserted in the direction of the grain conceals the screws, providing an unhindered view of the beautiful bench structure. The arrangement of the horizontal teak slats, a subtle interplay between solid and empty lines, is very smart. This is a sleek new interpretation of the classic garden bench seat with a high backrest and gently inclined seat for maximum comfort.
