Summer Sunset Chillouts

at Cockatoo Island

We can’t think of a better way to kick back and enjoy summer evenings with friends than listening to great acoustic music with the glorious panorama of Sydney Harbour to gaze upon.  Running on Saturdays over only 12 dates from now until March 28, you can do exactly that – listen to music from local and international acoustic musicians, enjoy a beer and wine, as well as cheese and charcuterie boxes that will be available to purchase.

Venue 505 — which is unfortunately closing its Surry Hills spot in December — has curated a great lineup, so you know you'll be seeing and hearing some amazing of talent. The series will kick off with folk jazz singer Alice Terry, and will be followed by 20-year-old Woorabinda artist Miiesha and Sydney rapper Taj Ralph. There'll also be a special First Nations event on November 30 with performances from Bow and Arrow, Evie J Willie and Indigenous Enterprise.

The sessions start at 5pm, but it’s recommended you head over to the island early to enjoy some fresh air and sunshine before sunset.

Location: Biloela Lawn, Upper Island
Dates/times: 5pm to 8pm, supporting act at 5:30pm and headliner at 6:45pm
Tickets: $30-$35 for general admission; free for children 12 and under. Note: there will be limited door sales on the night.
