AILDM Seminar

 

The Australian Institute of Landscape Designers and Manger’s last Seminar was held at Adam Robinson Design’s Studio in Danks Street, Waterloo on the 27th April, 2017.  The Seminar on Photography was all about the art of garden photography and covered elements such as image usage rights, how to prepare gardens for photo shoots, how to get the most of a garden with photography, the best time of day to shoot gardens, how to get your garden images published and how to use photoshop.

The experts in their field who presented were:

Adam Robinson - Garden Styling
How to prepare a garden for a photoshoot eg. additional pots, pillows, table setting. The differences between short term and long term styling.

Nicholas Watt - Garden Photography     
What makes a great shoot (light, positioning etc). Why it is important to get a professional shoot done. A showcase of some of his work.

Helen Young - Publication        
Image rights and publication. How to get a garden into a magazine.

Adriano Carrideo - Creative Landscape
A Landscape Architect and passionate Landscape Photographer, Adriano will present some of his work and the effects of Photoshop.

A mix of members, non-members and students attended the inspiring evening and a good time was had by all!
